As we had to change twice over the two last years we now hope to find someone regular able to fit the band and stay for a much longer time. Seasonal singer is quite a problem and we want more stability about that. Then we played on the first Day of the Metal Camp, so Friday 4th July, on the 2nd stage. Then we had all the time to have fun out there and spend time with our buddies. And seriously I could not tell you what was the most outstanding of all what we experienced there : the crowded stage (playing between after Six Feet Under and before Carcass), the stars we saw in flesh and bones and met (Apocalyptica, Arch Enemy, Soilwork...) or the outstanding performance we watched (In Flames, Wintersun, Evergrey, Hacride, Rage, Behemoth...) or the breath-taking landscapes all around (and not least) or the fucking good weather (my shoulders were completely sunburnst after one day) and all the fun we had with our friends, people out there... Believe me or not, what we lived is just indescribable with words. Anyway we are now back in our area and ready to rock. We have a lot of projects to run now, new photographs to post, signing with management agency, new videos in preparation, new album currently in writing... Forced Evolution will keep rocking. We all want to thank every single person who contributed and voted to give the band the opportunity to participate to this huge metal event. We have no words to describe this dream becoming a reality. However, we'd like to offer you the opportunity to share this unique wonderful experience in the name of Rock'n Roll. Keep rockin' Ulrich -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Artwork almost done and gig next week December 16 2007 Hi, We are about to finish our cover/booklet for our new demo. The designer we worked with is Nicolas Spreutels, from Nick Design (www.nick-design.org). We finally chose to work with a promising belgian designer, although we received answers from Russia, Poland, France, Greece... because we thought it would be much easier to explain ideas and concepts in our mother tongue on the one hand. Then, his talent and his style was also a good reason, of course. We are about to finish the creation of our artwork and we can thus announce that our demo will be available in one or two weeks. We are not sure about the selling price yet but you will be given more details about that soon (around 7€ probably). As we can only afford to produce a small amount of demo's, be sure to get yours. You will soon be able to order it on our "order" section. But you will also be allowed to get your copy to our gigs as well. By the way, we will play at the Mistral Cafe in Arlon next friday. Because we did. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Songs mixed and available soon October 14 2007 Hi people, We finally got our songs mixed. Ronnie, from Enhanced Audio Productions (http://www.myspace.com/enhancedaudioproductions) did an awesome job... even if it's not such a big surprise to hear how good it sounds (we worked harder than hardest on our project). I hope you'll share that opinion. Anyway, we had a real pleasure to work with him although the distance. He's a really friendly guy. Ronnie, we love you. Ahahahah. Seriously now, here's the setlist of our new demo: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mixing October 6 2007 Hey, We sent the tracks of our recordings on Wednesday the 3rd to Sweden for mixing and mastering. The guy we chose to work with is Ronnie Björnström from Sweden (http://www.myspace.com/enhancedaudioproductions). The reasons for our collabarotion are quite simple as we already had the opportunity to appreciate his professionnalism and his talent and he's as passionate as we are about his job. We can't tell you how long it will take before receiving the final version of our recording but we already know the result will be amazing, thanks to the guy. As soon as we received it you will know for sure.Then we still have to work on the artwork for the band. Never enough. September 21 2007 Hi Everyone, It has been a long time, now, since our last piece of news. So here are some fresh stuff about the band. First of all we finished recording our new demo. It took approximately 10 days to record everything. Like previous year we recorded all our tracks in different locations and at various times. The drums were made at the end of July. Hopefully Guillaume managed to be ready in spite of his injuries to his rist and ankle. All the guitars, bass, and vocals were made in Augustus, but still in different sessions. Concerning this point it was hard to keep thinking about the recording and to stand the pressure with things going on for such a long period. Anyway we have a lot of surprises for you. We are now clearly aiming towards desolation fields of trash and death metal but still keep our melodic touch. We did a huge work on guitars as we decided to record FOUR guitar tracks on EVERY rhythm guitar part, excepting my solos of course. This is mainly why we took so much time. We wanted it to be as precised, cutting and tight as possible. The other reason is that we had to build, then remove and build again our home studio between every different recording sesssion. So we lost a lot of time by doing this. I'll post more details about our songs later. At the moment we are now taking the time to protect our music. When this is done we'll send our tracks to a studio for the mixing and mastering session. All this should be achieved in 2 weeks. Then you'll get more details. Anoter thing I would like to tell you about is our new singer. His name is Lionel Bauer. You might already know him as frontman for his previous band, Shaft of Light. You'll soon know more about this too. I think it's better to let you discover the result of his soumission to my fucking demands by yourself. We'll post some new videos of our recording sessions on the websites as soon as possible. Ulrich. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Begining of recording July 13 2007 Hi metalheads, Here are our last news. We are now adding the final touch to most of our songs. We are working on keyboards and vocals as the intrumental parts are close to the end. We will begin the drums recording next week. Then we'll track guitars-bass and vocals in August. This second demo should probably be a giant step in something closer to what we want to do in term of compositions. We are already excited about the idea of hitting back the stage with these kickass songs (not objective, of course, but you might like our new tunes). We still keep the mystery about our new singer but you'll know about this soon. Cheers. |
